The lilacs were extra abundant this spring. We have had a lot of rain with some beautiful sunny but cool days and cold nights on the verge of frost. I think this has made some plants like these purple lilacs, growing wild along an Ontario country gravel road, bloom so magnificently. Their gorgeous fragrance wafts throughout the countryside.
