Description
After a devastating flood in 1957, the city of Valencia made plans to divert the Turia River to avoid this ever happening again. By 1969 the riverbed was completely dry leaving 5 miles of land for redevelopment. The result has been a magnificent urban green space for visitors and locals alike to enjoy. The newly built City of Arts and Sciences complex is probably the most fascinating area. A wonder of modern architecture designed by Valencian architect Santiago Calatrava, this cultural complex has something for everyone. On the right of the image is the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofia, the city's Opera House, on the left, the underside of the Montolivet Bridge. Futuristic Architecture of Valencia Spain in Black and White has a little added grain.

Nice angle into this architecture's complexity, love the various lines sweeping into view!

I love this terrific black and white photo especially from the point it was shot at. L/F
