Description
One of the highlights of visiting the Cinque Terre region of Italy is said to be traveling by ferry and thus viewing the colorful towns from the water. For one reason or another, that experience had always eluded me. In 2018 I hiked 6 hours to Portovenere and considered my options for the return trip, hiking not being one of them. The bus/train combination would take over an hour while the ferry would take only 30 minutes. Decision made! So here we are leaving Portovenere. It would probably have been more fun had it not been raining :-D Maybe next time!
