Description
Nissitissit Bridge in Brookline, New Hampshire is a pedestrian covered bridge painted in red and white. Half of the bridge (46 feet) was original owned by the Covered Bridge Craft Store in Nashua, NH. The store closed and the bridge was donated in 2001 to the town of Brookline, NH. The town extended the bridge to a total length of 110 feet and placed it over the Nissitissit River near Lake Potanipo.
In 2006, Cosmopolitan Magazine named the Nissitissit Bridge as one of the sexiest spots in the country and New Hampshire's "loveliest kissing bridge". The quaint red and white covered bridge, along Mason Road in Brookline, is a popular destination among locals and tourists.
The traditional craftsmanship of covered bridges is unique to rural areas of the United States, but especially New England. The heavy timbers and barn-like qualities are icons of the 19th century, and provide a beautiful backdrop for photos and postcards.

Love all your covered bridges! I have been to this one. Just down the road from where my sister lives. This is actually a walking bridge. I will look for my photo of it and post!

This is a stunning photo with all the fall colors against the color of the bridge. Love it! Best autumn picture I have seen recently. Nice!
